ERHS Credit Recovery Lead

Anticipated Start Date: June 10, 2024

Credit Recovery Hours: 9:30 am - 12:30 pm


Compensation:
Salary schedule based on Teacher's Contract, previous teaching experience, and education.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The lead works with Alternative Program staff, students, families, school administration, SAS, and counselors per school site in the credit recovery program. The lead serves as the primary contact and liaison among all entities.

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Communicate with school administration, counselors, special education team, alternative programs staff, students, and families regarding credit recovery.

  2. Supervise other credit recovery staff and students.

  3. Verify student work, credits earned, and attendance hours.

  4. Troubleshoot technical issues with building tech, Edmentum support, and Alternative Programs Staff.

  5. Consistently report attendance, credits earned, student progress, and any issues to Alternative Programs Staff.

  6. Collaborate with special education case managers to ensure all modifications and accommodations are followed as required.

  7. Assist with templates for emails, notifications, policies and procedures within the credit recovery.

  8. Other duties as assigned.


JOB SPECIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, LICENSE, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES):

Required:

  1. Current Minnesota Teaching License or Equivalent.

  2. Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field.

  3. Experience teaching high school students.

  4. Prompt, regular, and reliable attendance.

  5. Ability to perform routine computer functions, including the use of email, Google Docs, and Microsoft Word.

  6. Access and familiarity with Infinite Campus.

  7. Strong communication skills and good rapport with administration, counselors, and other teaching staff.

  8. Organizational skills when determining and managing schedules (for students, CR teachers, counselors/admin)

  9. Communicates with students, parents, co-workers, supervisors, and the community in a positive and responsive way that is consistently welcoming and enhances effective work relationships.

  10. Demonstrates an appreciation of diversity in all interactions and job functions.


Desired:

  1. Familiarity with Edmentum, WebEx, Google Docs, Schoology, and other online education tools.

  2. Experience with supervision of teachers and other staff.

  3. Understanding of graduation requirements and transcripts.
