Compensation:
Salary schedule based on teacher contract, previous teaching experience and education.

License Requirement:
Current Minnesota Teaching License in Elementary Education.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The SOAR teacher assists students during the summer months through a distance learning model using Schoology.
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Provide asynchronous online reading and math instruction.
- Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
- Responds to student's and families' questions about the lessons within 24 hours of receipt during the work week (Monday - Friday).
- Provide technical assistance.
- Participate in meetings and planning days.
- Other duties as assigned.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, LICENSE, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES):
Required:
- Current Minnesota Teaching License in Elementary Education.
- Working knowledge of SeeSaw and comfortable assisting students via distance learning.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated creativity, flexibility and enthusiasm to support students through innovative instruction.
- Ability to collaborate and problem solve across different stakeholders.
- Prompt, regular and reliable attendance.
- Communicates with students, parents, co-workers, supervisors, and the community in a positive and responsive way that is consistently welcoming and enhances effective work relationships.
- Demonstrates an appreciation of diversity in all interactions and job functions.
