Job Scope

Responsible for manufacturing and assembly of kits, which are properly packaged and labeled to ensure a quality product that is ready for shipment on time. Execute manufacturing or in-line assembly-support processes according to standard operating procedures, with a working knowledge of cGMP requirements, to ensure adherence to Company policies and procedures.

Key Duties and responsibilities

* Package kits according to established quality standards that are designed to ensure customer satisfaction.

* Accurately and neatly complete and review required documentation in batch records, forms, and other cGMP documents.

* Clean, set-up, and operate assembly equipment for processing operations including pressing, integral vision system, integral RFID labeling, cartoning, and outer box labeling.

* Perform in-process quality checks for specific quality attributes. Inspect product for defects and conformance to specified quality standards.

* Clean work surfaces and assembly equipment in accordance with defined procedures.

* Utilize SAP system for material pulling, confirming pick list transactions, work order completion, and use of additional material consumed transitions.

* Assist in troubleshooting of routine assembly equipment, machines, and processes and notify Supervisor and Engineer of issues in a timely manner.

* Participate in training processes that are designed to develop a highly-skilled workforce capable of delivering results consistent with corporate goals and objectives.

* Ensure compliance with the Quality Management System, the Company policies, and corporate procedures.

* Perform work in a safe manner consistent with DiaSorin's environmental, health and safety policies and assume responsibility for personal safety and that of co-workers to result in a safe work environment for all employees and the protection of the environment and the community at large.

* Follow DiaSorin's established procedures for the safe handling and disposal of hazardous and infectious material.

* Participate in DiaSorin's safety training programs and demonstrate competency in the use of Material Safety Data Sheets, chemical labeling, corporate emergency response procedures, and DiaSorin's Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.

* Be aware of and understand the hazards specific to the work area and follow appropriate safety precautions necessary to control them.

Education, Experience and Qualifications

* A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent is required.

* 2-4 + years of assembly experience or previous experience in IVD (In Vitro Diagnostics) / Device / Pharmaceutical industry and/or highly regulated FDA environments and biotechnology / medical device fields.

* Ability to follow instruction, written and verbal.

* Ability to prioritize and organize work.

* Attention to detail.

* Ability to manage time effectively (arrival, departure, lunch, break, daily tasks, accountability to specific time commitments).

* Skilled in information-specific record keeping as well as GMP and GDP.

* Mechanical aptitude and machine troubleshooting skills.

* Perform required transactions to relieve inventory of components and enter the finished kits into the manufacturing system.

* Demonstrated competence in reading and completing charts, forms, and other documents.

* Ability to perform research and data collection and report this information accurately and effectively.
