SEASONAL GROUNDS WORKERS
Temporary summer worker positions available.

DATES & HOURS: April thru October, Monday thru Friday; days - Casual - Hours as needed - up to 40 hours/week
Assigned hours will vary depending on the school's athletic schedule, needs, and weather.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Mow turf grass on athletic fields and trim around structures. Mow and trim lawns around buildings, parking lots, and driveways. Pickup and remove bottles, trash, sticks, debris, and other objects prior to each cutting.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 16 years of age. Must have general familiarity with techniques and procedures used in the care of lawns, shrubs, trees, and ornamental plants. Requires valid driver's license. Ability to perform position responsibilities including physical factors, work devices and materials handling, data functions, and people functions.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Some experience as grounds keeper and mowing at other institutes/firms preferred. Basic knowledge of methods, materials, and equipment used in grounds maintenance work; use of power and hand tools used in maintaining buildings and grounds preferred.

RATE OF PAY: $16.50/ hour; There is no vacation or benefits for summer/seasonal staff.

ACTIVE CASUAL HOURS AS NEEDED.
