PROJECT SURVEYOR

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Project Surveyor to join our team. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, quality assurance/quality control and completion of survey projects in Westwood's Renewables / Power Division.

* Lead the planning and implementation of projects and monitors the operational effectiveness throughout.
* Serves as subject matter expert for survey related activities such as construction staking, topographic surveying, platting, legal description writing, boundary analysis, exhibit preparation, and legal principles.
* Works with the Project Manager to define project tasks, schedule and resource requirements.
* Works with Project Manager to evaluate project budget, scope, and fee.
* Complies with and helps the enforcement of company standards, policies, and procedures.
* Conduct team meetings with project team to evaluate and coordinate the project.
* Stays current on service-specific trends, technology, software, hardware, and equipment.
* Provide day-to-day guidance and mentoring to project team staff as needed.
* Responsible for quality control and quality assurance related to the survey activities on each project.
* Ensures division, regional, and company policies and practices are consistently followed within the survey service.
* Lead by example - display solid judgment, good values, trust, honesty, openness, and professionalism.

* Professional Survey License with multi-state licensure preferred.
* Four-year degree preferred and/or 10-plus years of experience in a consulting business.
* Effective verbal and written communication is necessary and independent judgment is essential.
* Proven leadership and supervisory skills.
* Handle multiple priorities and projects well.
