Job Description

What success looks like in this role:

Payroll Processing: will be responsible for accurately and timely processing payroll for clients' employees. This may involve calculating wages, overtime, benefits, tax deductions, and other compensations.

Legal Compliance: Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to payroll, including taxes, benefits, and compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

Associates Service: Handling inquiries and requests from associates related to payroll, such as clarifying salaries, benefits, and taxes. This may require clear and effective communication as well as the ability to proactively solve problems.

Data Management: Collecting, organizing, and managing payroll data with accuracy and confidentiality. This may include maintaining employee records, timekeeping reports, and other relevant information.

  • Focus on development of technical capabilities in the areas of accounting guidance, design and operation of controls, governance, policy and project management.

  • Prepared documentation necessary for closing the company's books and records, executing necessary internal accounting controls, escalating issues and identified risks and applying company policies necessary to result in complete and accurate financial reporting

  • May lead one or more teams of professionals

  • Knowledgeable in US payroll rules and regulations

  • First level support for Analysts

  • Handles more complex processes/issues/hold conditions utilizing system knowledge and experience

  • Training of new hires, Mailbox distribution and System closing/Interface rejections

  • Handle complex special processes (i.e. BOD, 1099's, Payroll, etc)

  • System testing

  • Processing as required to resolve backlog/team shortage

You will be successful in this role if you have:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration (required); and a minimum of 5years of experience in the relevant Finance/Accounting area.

  • Familiarity with common financial systems and experience in system interaction.

  • Experience in an ERP/shared service environment (preferred)

  • Experience working in a global organization (preferred)

  • Experience with ADP / ADP Vantage

  • Experience reconciling balance sheet accounts and/or subledger reports.

  • Effective communication skills expressed through conversation, instructing, written memos, written work instructions and flow charts.

  • Ability to work in a team environment and lead special projects.

  • Knowledge of Oracle Financial Systems desired

  • Audit experience helpful.

  • CHECK FUNCTIONAL AREA SPECIFICS(i.e. Account to Report, C2C Contract to Cash, P2P Procure to Pay and/or H2R Hire to Retire).
