MRA (The Management Association) is seeking a Human Resources and Payroll Business Partner.

As the Human Resources and Payroll Business Partner at MRA, you will support a variety of company types, sizes, and industries. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects, largely on-site at our member company locations. As a key extension of our member's team, you will help them achieve their HR goals. Imagine each day offering new and exciting challenges where no two days are alike!

We are currently seeking to fill an On Demand HR and Payroll Business Partner role in the Twin Cities, MN area. In our On Demand role, you are a key player on the HR Services team at MRA! Most of our On Demand team work 8-16 hours per week, but may flex up or down depending on business needs and the employee's desired schedule.

Essential Functions:

  • Initiate and complete ongoing assignments for members (clients) using sound payroll and HR practice principles and in the most cost-effective manner.
  • You will provide full-cycle HR & Payroll support to member organizations ranging from 10 employees to 10,000. Example responsibilities include:
    • Payroll Processing and Administration
    • Benefits Administration
    • Policy interpretation & implementation
    • Coaching leaders on a variety of employee-related issues.
    • Employee life-cycle management
    • HR Compliance
  • In addition to a focus on HR/Payroll Assignments, you may also support members with the following project types:
    • Handbooks
    • HR & Payroll Audits
    • 3rd Party Investigations
    • HR Systems Implementation and Integration
    • Benefits Administration
    • Project Management for Job Architecture
  • Maintain accurate billable service records and complete semi-monthly time reporting as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree
  • PHR and/or SHRM-CP Certification, FPC or CPP Certification a Plus.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of HR experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office software.
  • Strong knowledge of multiple payroll software systems (experience must include processing, implementation, and troubleshooting). ADP WFN, UKG Pro, Paylocity, Paycom, and/or Paycor preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License or ability to travel on-site to member companies within a one-hour radius of your closest MRA's office (Golden Valley, MN; Waukesha, WI; Columbus, OH; Cincinnati, OH; Schaumburg, IL; Moline, IL).
