Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Manager of Recruiting in our Minneapolis office with the opportunity to work remotely in a hybrid environment. This position will play a crucial role in sourcing and hiring top talent for our firm, and is responsible for managing the entire recruitment process, from identification of staffing needs through attracting, evaluating, and hiring for all U.S. paralegal, other timekeeper, legal administrative assistant, and business professional positions. This position will develop hiring strategies, lead employment branding initiatives and develop and maintain relationships with external sourcing partners. This position reports directly to the Director of Recruiting, Inclusion and Diversity.

Key responsibilities include:


The Manager of Recruiting will be responsible to:

*Lead all sourcing strategies and build talent pipelines, including establishing and nurturing strategic partnerships with educational institutions, industry organizations, and recruitment agencies
*Strategically develop and oversee all stages of candidate experience including application and initial review process, interviews, evaluations, communication, offers, and onboarding; ensuring efficient workflow; ensure compliance with internal procedures and protocols; compliance with relevant laws and regulations; monitor and evaluate candidate feedback; and incorporate continuous improvements to ensure a positive candidate and department experience
*Provide thought leadership and consultation to senior leaders on hiring needs, recruiting, and sourcing methodologies; implement and oversee hiring policies; promote best practices across practice groups and offices
*Forecast hiring needs based on business growth initiatives
*Participate in and host recruitment events to drive awareness of the Firm; collaborate with Marketing to enhance the Firm's brand
*Strategically manage the Firm's recruiting and onboarding systems (vetting, developing, and managing budgets) and vendor relationships (i.e., viRecruit, Indeed, LinkedIn, UKG onboarding, etc.)
*Propose and manage annual recruitment budget based on synthesized analysis of metrics, market conditions, and firm strategy
*Collaborate closely with entire Recruiting, Inclusion & Diversity team and other stakeholders on metrics (such as source of hire and time-to-hire), reports, systems, policies, communication, and related projects
*Define and lead projects focused on continuous improvement
*Responsible for remaining up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging recruitment technologies, incorporating innovative approaches into our talent acquisition efforts.
*Manage, train, and evaluate direct reports while fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation
*The Manager of Recruiting will report to the Director of Recruiting, Inclusion & Diversity and work closely with the entire Recruiting, Inclusion & Diversity team, and will manage a Recruiter and Recruiting Coordinator.

Required Qualifications:

*8+ years of experience leading strategic recruiting and hiring for paralegal, other timekeeper, legal administrative assistant and other business professional positions (including in the areas of Finance, IT, Human Resources, Marketing and Practice Management) in a law firm or related setting
*Ability to develop and maintain a cooperative working relationship with members of the firm, clients, and other outside contacts
*Ability to balance workload based upon general guidelines established. Able to meet short and/or unpredictable deadlines.
*Ability to adhere to regulations, policies and procedures. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
*In-depth knowledge of industry trends in the related areas of hiring responsibility, best practices, employment laws or compliance protocols, and recruitment technologies
*Ability to lead, follow, and take initiative when working both independently and as part of various teams; adept at consulting, advising, and influencing leaders; strong and proactive problem-solving and client-service orientation
*Proven effective supervisory skills; demonstrated ability to oversee, coach, and develop others.
*Knowledge of recruitment software/vendors and experience vetting, developing, maintaining, and improving systems and managing related vendor contracts, budgets, and strategies
*Previous experience building and analyzing recruiting and staffing metrics to inform successful recruiting strategies and budgets; strategic thinker with the ability to align recruitment efforts with organizational objectives; ability to synthesize large amounts of data and input from a variety of stakeholders to select and influence/drive the best solution
*Experience proactively sourcing candidates utilizing tools such as Indeed and LinkedIn, and with candidate management systems such as viRecruit, as well as managing search firm relationships and engaging in and creating other pipeline opportunities
*Experience with Microsoft 2010 Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and the willingness to learn new and evolving systems and applications; experience developing, implementing, and refining new recruitment technologies and analytics tools

Desired Qualifications:

*Experience working in a professional services setting (e.g., a law firm) preferred.
*Sound professional judgment including ability to balance reasonable flexibility with process while inspiring trust and confidence at all levels
*Demonstrated organizational, and program management capabilities in a fast-paced, collaborative, and service-oriented professional environment; ability to manage multiple daily priorities with competing deadlines while continuously improving processes and influencing and furthering team, department, and firmwide strategic priorities
*Excellent oral and written communication, relationship-building, and collaboration skills; ability to represent the organization with professionalism and highest level of client service
*Demonstrates a positive, professional attitude and approach to the job, the firm and coworkers.
*Recognizes and utilizes the firm's resources effectively and efficiently. Develops and maintains a sufficient working knowledge of the organization as a whole.
*Ability to work within set time parameters.
*Develops mutual working relationships with supervisor in order to anticipate work needs. Prepares in advance to relieve supervisors of as many administrative tasks as possible.
