JOB ID: 4202 - Summer Special Ed Extended School Year Bus Educational Assistants and Educational Assistants - PCA's - Part-Time temporary Position available with the District at various buildings, beginning 06/28/2024 - 07/26/2024.
Scheduled hours/days: Variable up to 5.5 hours/day with a preparation day on June 28, 2024.
• NCEC Dates/Times: 6/28, 7/8-7/12, 7/15-7/19, and 7/22-7/26. (up to 3.5 hours/day)
• K-12 Dates/Times: 6/28, 7/8-7/12, 7/15-7/19. (up to 5.5 hours/day)
Qualifications Required: At least two years of college credits (usually 60 credits in Minnesota) through an accredited institution of higher education; or an associate's or higher degree; or a passing score on the ParaPro assessment demonstrating the knowledge and ability to assist with instruction in reading/language arts, writing, mathematics or readiness for each.
Duties: Will work as a team member to assist one or more students in completing academic tasks, increasing social skills, providing redirection and intervention of behavior, assisting with self-care and functional skills, and other tasks as identified within assigned students IEPs. Will work within the special education setting under the direction of a licensed special education teacher.
