Your Job

Senior National Account Manager role will be responsible for managing the Target business for GP Retail Consumer Products. This position will analyze customer data and work closely with category partners to create value and provide Georgia-Pacific with a competitive advantage by understanding and developing relationships with the Customer to profitably anticipate and satisfy their needs. This position reports into the Senior Customer Team Leader for the Target business. This role is based in Minneapolis, MN.


What You Will Do

  • Drive annual growth against key GP measures (Net Rev, NIAT, $ Share, DSMP, IDM / Forecast Accuracy)
  • Strengthen customer relationships via highly effective wiring-up and across the organization
  • Create long-term value by fully understanding and addressing customer's business objectives, financial goals, strategic imperatives, and the key shopper segments it serves
  • Collaborate with the customer and internal teams to develop highly effective and profitable joint business plans
  • Lead agenda and content development for Target Director & Buyer (Tissue, Towel and Picnic Categories) and internal Category meetings
  • Lead Line Review planning with the Brand, Category, and Customer Planning teams to ensure we are developing alternatives that are mutually beneficial to GP and Target
  • Account Planning - share Customer POV, and ensure we build a plan that meets Target's Joint Business planning goals. Co-lead account planning with the category teams and build annual business plans within SAP.
  • Develop merchandising plans and help identify customer specific marketing opportunities via internal team collaboration to develop plans that build brand and retailer loyalty and deliver positive ROIs
  • Understand and effectively manage trade strategy and programs to deliver profitable sales; apply economic thinking
  • Effectively manage internal systems and collaborate with the Sales Analyst to help deliver accurate volume and trade forecasts
  • Look for opportunities to improve profitability via value chain (e.g., mix, price, cost reductions, supply optimization, etc.)


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Consumer Products industry experience
  • 5 years of trade marketing, sales and, or customer investment experience within the CPG industry
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Power Point and Word).
  • Willing to travel 10%


What Will Put You Ahead

  • Knowledge of CPG, Paper industries, and marketplace
  • Prior experience with business development and capability building skills
  • Experience creating/working with Insights and data-driven business planning and value propositions
  • Experience with trade management / financial acumen
  • Target experience
