Colliers Mortgage is seeking a driven, customer focused, and detail-oriented Escrow Coordinator to support our internal Insurance and Tax teams. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to break into both the commercial real estate and/or commercial insurance industry. This individual will build strong cross functional internal relationships, correspond with complex commercial mortgage clients, work with external tax authorities and insurance agents/brokers, as well as our broader loan servicing team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collecting evidence of insurance prior to renewal
  • Requesting and collecting insurance policies according to lender guidelines
  • Assisting in obtaining escrow shortages, request escrow analysis when needed
  • Maintaining servicing system and loan files
  • Identifying and escalating concerns to the insurance or tax analysts
  • Monitoring incoming insurance and tax requests
  • Monitoring and running status reports on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Assisting in coordinating documentation for audits
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 6+ months of office experience, or an associates or higher degree required
  • Mortgage loan, business finance, or banking experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures or governmental regulations
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies in the available data
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities
