HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO OUR TEAM (Overview & Key Responsibilities):

The Global Strategic Sourcing Lead is responsible for defining the category sourcing strategies, as well as overall supply chain management. This role demands a deep understanding of commodity markets, supplier capabilities, and sustainability practices. The individual will lead efforts to optimize sourcing strategies to enhance quality, ensure cost-effectiveness, manage risks, and support the company's sustainability goals.

  • Function within the guidelines of the Lube-Tech company values, vision, and mission.
  • Develop and execute global sourcing strategies, focusing on sustainability, innovation, cost reduction, supply chain resilience, safety, and supply chain risk.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and cross-functional leadership to understand needs and align sourcing strategies with business goals.
  • Lead supplier selection, negotiation, and relationship management with suppliers, ensuring they meet quality, sustainability, and delivery requirements.
  • Responsible for the delivery of specific cost reduction and cash flow targets in alignment with overarching goals and objectives, with a focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
  • Visit various domestic and international suppliers and Lube-Tech facilities to help with site audits, manage supplier performance reviews, identify sourcing cost savings, and process improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor global trends, technologies, and supplier capabilities to identify opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage.
  • Implement risk management practices for supply chains, addressing potential supply disruptions, commodity price volatility, and regulatory changes.
  • Support New Product Development (NPD) projects with expertise, ensuring supply chain capabilities align with project timelines and specifications.
  • Manage supplier related COPQ, product life cycle, as well as actively participate in SMOG action plans.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline.
  • 5-10 years of strategic sourcing or procurement experience.
  • Demonstrated ability in negotiating agreements and managing supplier relationships.
  • Lean manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Successfully drive simultaneous activities, meet deadlines, and achieve results.
  • Familiarity with Government regulations.
  • Ability to work independently, creatively, and be an innovative thinker.
  • Thorough working knowledge of ERP applications (i.e. JDE).
  • Advanced MS Office application skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally for supplier engagements and industry events.
