Facilities Technician II - Twin Cities metro, MN

Pay: $28 per hour (experience will be compensated)
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Shift times: Schedule responsive to facilities' needs, including early morning or evening/night hours to complete work outside of patient hours or respond to facility emergencies. Must maintain flexible working hours and can be on call during non-business hours.
Location: Based in Twin Cities metro, MN.
Job type: Non-Exempt
Travel: Frequent travel primarily in MN and occasional travel to IA, NE and Sioux Falls, SD. Schedule.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in facilities maintenance
  • Valid driver's license and proof of insurance
  • Ability to travel within Minnesota up to 75% of the time with occasional out of state travel
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, organize, and adapt
  • Ability to work independently and within a team

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Maintains flexible working hours and can be on call during non-business hours
  • Assists the Senior Facilities Manager in implementing the department's work plan in accordance with PPNCS overall strategic plan and ensures accurate and timely implementation
  • Coordinates with the Sr. Facilities Manager to prioritize, schedule, and communicate maintenance and repairs. This includes logging in to the facilities database system, FMX, daily to manage assigned tickets/tasks
  • Assists with repairs, maintenance, and equipment servicing, including but not limited to: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and grounds care
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and develop credibility at all levels
  • Demonstrates exemplary customer service in person, in writing, and by phone, both internally and externally, by responding warmly, promptly, and correctly to all queries. Any items requiring involvement of the Senior Facilities Manager, or other staff, will be referred in a timely manner and clear communication between parties maintained until the issue is resolved
  • Participates in the departmental project planning, budgeting, and strategy, included but not limited to attending the monthly "Super Team" meeting
  • Works with the Sr. Facilities Manager to ensure organizational compliance with federal, state, and local ordinances by adhering to requirements
