Job Description

Jefferson#39;s Einstein Outpatient Behavioral Health Department is a Federally Qualified Health Center.

Primary Functions:

  • To provide assessment, consultation, and psychotherapy services for children and adolescents (5-17yrs of age) within Student Assistance Program and Outpatient Behavioral Health Department.
  • Conduct child/adolescent evaluations in Outpatient Department
  • Conduct child/adolescent psychotherapy in Outpatient Department
  • Attendance at staff meetings, treatment team meetings and case conference
  • Completion of all necessary documentation according to department policy
  • Provide comprehensive clinical assessment of mental health/substance abuse needs within Philadelphia Schools
  • Provide recommendations for intervention/treatment and referrals for students in Philadelphia Schools
  • This position requires providing service to the following age population(s): Children (5 to age 12) , Adolescents, (13-17) in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.

Education/Training/Experience:
Masters Desgree in Psychology/Counseling/Social Work/Marriage and Family required

Licenses/Certifications:
PA STATE LICENSE preferred
Physical Demand Analysis:
Physical Requirements - Assisting patients in wheel chairs. Moving therapy equipment
Visual Requirements - Adequate sight to see patients and document
Hearing Requirements - Ability to hear frail geriatric patients
Working Conditions - Normal working conditions. Office and Therapy rooms

Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI finger print based federal criminal records check. The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily.

Covid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at Jeffersonrsquo;s clinical entities or at the University.
