Job Title: Sr. Integration Architect

Reports To: Vice President - IT Enterprise Architecture and Integration

Location: Lewisville, TX

FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Objective:

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Sr. Integration Architect to lead and oversee the design and implementation of comprehensive integration solutions that seamlessly connect diverse systems and technologies across the enterprise. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping our overall architecture strategy, ensuring the effective integration of applications, data, and processes to support the organization's business goals and objectives. Your responsibilities will include analyzing existing systems, identifying integration opportunities, designing robust and scalable solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation. Additionally, you will be at the forefront of evaluating emerging technologies and industry trends to guide the organization in making strategic integration decisions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Integration Strategy and Planning:
    • Develop and lead the integration strategy for the organization, aligning it with business objectives and technology roadmaps.
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and define integration solutions that meet current and future needs.

  • System Analysis and Design:
    • Conduct thorough analysis of existing systems, identifying integration points and opportunities for improvement.
    • Design and architect robust integration solutions, considering scalability, performance, and security requirements.
    • Promote interoperability between systems to maximize efficiency and minimize redundancy.

  • Technical Leadership:
    • Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring adherence to integration best practices and standards.
    • Collaborate with other architects and IT leaders to maintain a cohesive and aligned overall enterprise architecture.

  • Solution Implementation:
    • Oversee the implementation of integration solutions, working closely with development teams to ensure successful delivery.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, ensuring the stability and reliability of integrated systems.

  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, business analysts, and data scientists, to understand and address data-related needs.
    • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, fostering a shared understanding of data architecture principles.

  • Technology Evaluation and Adoption:
    • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in data management and analytics.
    • Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to enhance the organization's data capabilities.

  • Documentation:
    • Maintain thorough documentation of data architectures, processes, and procedures.
    • Provide training and support to team members to ensure effective use of data architecture resources.

  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance integration architecture effectiveness.
    • Participate in regular reviews and assessments of integration architecture to identify and address evolving business needs.

  • Compliance and Sustainability:
    • Work closely with stakeholders, including sustainability officers and business leaders, to understand and address sustainability requirements.
    • Understand how global/regional industry standards and regulations affect the organization, ensure adherence of architectural implementations to these standards, and be involved in regular compliance checks and reporting on sustainability metrics.
    • Design, in collaboration with infrastructure, IT systems that are energy-efficient and resource optimized (e.g. data processing and storage, efficient use of cloud technologies).
    • Stay informed about emerging technologies that may further enhance sustainability efforts.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in designing and implementing integration solutions.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading integration projects from conception to delivery.
  • Deep expertise with multiple iPaaS, Integration Middlewares, ESBs, and API management platforms (such as MuleSoft, Boomi, Workato, TIBCO, etc.) is required.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or others relevant to integration.
  • In-depth knowledge of messaging protocols, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture.
  • Experience in evaluating and selecting integration tools, platforms, and vendors.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles and best practices.
  • Previous experience in defining and implementing integration architectures.
  • Experience with EDI standards such as X12 and EDIFACT, protocols such as AS2, and with 3PL-specific EDI documents like 850, 875, 855, 856, 810/880, 940, 945, 947, etc. is a plus.
  • Architect certification with one of the major Integration vendors (e.g. MuleSoft, Boomi, TIBCO, Workato, Software AG) is a plus.
  • Experience integrating with an ERP in the Manufacturing or Finance space is a plus.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
