Job Description

Ryan Companies has an exciting opportunity for a Vice President of Human Resources to join our team! This individual will play a pivotal role in aligning the HR function with overall business strategy and objectives of the organization. This position is specifically focused on serving as a strategic HR Business Partner, collaborating with senior executives, regional and sector leaders, and key stakeholders to drive HR initiatives that enhance Ryan's performance, employee engagement, and talent management.

Some things you can expect do to:

  • Develop and execute HR strategies that align with the overall business strategy and contribute to long-term organizational success
  • Manage a team of HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to deliver HR services across Ryan
  • Continuously grow the capabilities of the HRBP team to be a true strategic consultant to the business
  • Collaborate with leaders to understand their business needs and develop solutions that support their goals
  • Provide expert guidance on all HR-related matters
  • Determine the current future business needs to evaluate bench strength in key positions via established HR activities
  • Cultivate a lifecycle approach to talent management focused on development, performance management, workforce planning, and talent retention
  • Leverage internal and external data, trends, analytics, and insights to assess talent gaps, forecast resource needs, and model future scenarios to accurately identify and prioritize talent risks and opportunities
  • Coach business leaders on key organizational and management issues
  • Oversee employee relations, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and procedures

To be successful in this role, a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required. You must have at least 15 years of progressive experience leading large multi-state HR teams. High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality is required.

You will really stand out if you have:

  • Master's degree
  • Professional HR certifications (e.g., SPHR, SHRM-SCP, etc.)
  • Experience in talent acquisition, performance management, employee engagement, and organizational development
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization
