As a direct report to the CEO of a $350M+ Enterprise Imaging Solutions business, you will be accountable for ensuring market success - customer, quality and financial - by delivering high quality technology capabilities. As the SVP of Engineering, you will be responsible for the overall architecture of the product, technical approach, efficient and effective use of resources and for the Enterprise Imaging technology roadmap. As a member of the Enterprise Imaging leadership team, you will represent Enterprise Imaging in various corporate level technology leadership forums and participate in customer meetings (pre and post sales) to review and align the Enterprise Imaging technology roadmap.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Actively contribute as a key member of the leadership team by helping to shape the strategy of the entire organization and contributing beyond the scope of Engineering
  • Cloud Architecture: Architect and design cloud solutions that are secure, scalable, and cost-effective. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the alignment of architecture with business needs.
  • Vendor and Partner Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with cloud service providers, vendors, and strategic partners to leverage their expertise and resources
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the engineering team. Drive the adoption of best practices, coding standards, and development methodologies to ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • Budget and Resource Allocation: Manage the engineering budget and allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines and deliver on strategic objectives.
  • Responsible for the quality of the deliverables and for compliance with quality and safety standards (ISO, FDA)
  • Provide input to policy level direction regarding standards, processes, metrics, long range plans and budgeting, and other policy items as required
  • Planning of engineering activities and ownership of (both short and long-term) roadmap execution
  • Instruct, assign and direct the activities of the team to ensure that the work performed meets the acceptance criteria and is performed in line with all stated processes and procedures
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to cloud operations and develop mitigation plans. Ensure compliance with security and data privacy standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in cloud engineering. Drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
  • Team Management: Recruit, lead, and develop a high-performing engineering team. Foster a culture of agility, collaboration, continuous learning, empowerment, innovation, quality and speed.
  • Prepare activity and progress reports and provide status updates to executive leadership

Required Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in software engineering, specifically in enterprise systems
  • 5+ years of practical experience working with cloud technologies, including full proficiency in cloud architecture, infrastructure, tools and best practices
  • Demonstrated success leading through (and developing) other leaders
  • Track record of effectively leading global engineering organizations of 200+ team members
  • 5+ years of predictably executing on roadmaps by leveraging Agile methodologies at scale and with speed
  • History of success fostering a culture of agility, collaboration, continuous learning, empowerment, innovation, quality and speed
  • Experience working in Healthcare Technology companies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree computer science or related field
  • Experience working across both internal and external partners to deliver high quality technology solutions
  • Proven experience with off shoring and global engineering teams
  • Demonstrated experience migrating products from on premise to cloud
  • Experience in organizational transformation
  • Experience with Medical Devices or other FDA regulated products

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington residents is $275,000 to $350,000 per year.
