Position Summary/Purpose:

Minnwest Insurance Agency is seeking an individual for an Insurance Specialist position at our Farmington, Waldorf, or Waseca locations. This position will support customers and sales staff at the Insurance Agency. This position needs to have excellent communication, interpersonal, and service skills, relating to customers with tact, efficiency, accuracy and confidentiality. This position must be able to identify customer’s needs and build and maintain relationships. The candidate should have good problem-solving skills, decision making skills, time management skills, and organizational ability. Sound mathematical ability and keyboard skills are also important. This person must have the ability to work in a variety of capacities and make sound decisions.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 -2 years of customer service/sales experience
• Good computer skills
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Preferred Qualifications:

• Obtain Property and Casualty license within six months 
• 1-2 years of customer service/sales experience; preferably in an insurance agency setting
• Proficient in Office Suite, Word, Excel, Outlook
• Must be a self-started and able to work with minimal supervision
