THE ROLE: Virtual Sales Account Manager

Job Summary:

Presidio has an exciting opportunity for individuals who want to break into technology sales. The Virtual Sales Account Manager is a foundational role with a defined career path in the following areas: Field Sales, Operations, Project Management and Technical Pre-Sales. This role is remote, candidates can be located anywhere in the US. The Virtual Sales Account Manager will be responsible for proactively identifying sales opportunities with new and existing customers, achieving sales targets, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction within the assigned territory. Additionally, Virtual Sales Account Managers are expected to define and execute market strategy based on their customers' unique business needs.

Travel Requirements:

In this role you will be expected to travel up to 5%. It will be based on company events.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Meet or exceed annual sales top line revenue and margin goals as defined by management by identifying customer needs and selling the appropriate hardware and company services.
  • Drive profitably and grow revenue for target accounts in partnership with regional sales development representatives as well as additional resources.
  • Execute sales strategy by identifying customer needs and selling the appropriate hardware and company services.
  • Research: Conduct market research to identify contacts that could make decisions on technology solutions, services, and offerings
  • Outreach: Leverage omni-channel marketing outreach, which includes email, phone calls and social media. Execute necessary marketing and sales techniques including but not limited to cold calling, conducting virtual meetings, and partnering with vendors or manufacturers. Conduct necessary follow up correspondence.
  • Maintain a targeted understanding of customers' business showing the ability to establish customer needs, buying cycles, and creating strong relationships to effectively drive sales and repeat business.
  • On-Message: Consult with the team and utilize tools at your disposal to learn the appropriate talk-tracks and sales motions. Adhere to sales process including but not limited to pipeline development and accurate forecasting via internal tools.
  • Collaborate: Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with various levels of management, staff, and clients. Collaborate closely with staff across departments to implement growth strategies. Assist with drafting business plans, sales pitches, presentations, reference material, and other documents as required.
  • Work with Inside Customer Manager to ensure that quotes are provided, and order requests are processed accurately and with engineering team to accurately scope projects.
  • Manage past due invoice resolution with accounting to ensure proper collections.
  • Work with sales leadership and team to provide feedback, develop specific vendor relationships, advance new company initiatives, and mentor new employees to enhance all aspects of the sales strategy.
  • Attends monthly/quarterly account planning/penetration sessions with our strategic manufacturing partners' AMs.
  • Provide in-depth customer technology roadmap and collaboratively work with Field Account Manager & CSC SDR's to uncover new sales opportunities.
  • Develop partnerships with Vendor Field Sales Representatives and optimize joint selling opportunities within the territory.
  • Use monthly forecasting and pipeline management to manage sales growth!

Required Skills:

  • Strong track record of collaboration and ability to work closely and effectively with members across departments and at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines to overcome obstacles, achieve goals, and articulate ideas clearly and concisely in a variety of settings.
  • Ability to reach expected sales quota the first 90 and 180 days of employment leveraging existing vendor and customer contacts, as well as experience and track record of meeting and exceeding sales quotas.
  • Proficiency of the English language
  • Ability to communicate effectively with assertive, empathetic, flexible, strong customer service, active listener, persuasive, public speaker, polished presenter, and service orientation focus.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems, with critical thinking, judgment, and strong decision-making skills.

Additional Desired Skills:

  • Proven track record in developing relationships with customers and vendors, and ability to translate client business needs into solutions.
  • Preferred candidate will have prior experience selling advanced technology solutions from AWS, Cisco, Palo Alto, VMware, Dell, Microsoft, etc.
  • Your writing and speaking skills are clear and effective, helping you connect well with others. You are genuinely curious and ask thoughtful questions.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience and/or military experience.
  • 3+ years of technology sales experience required (B2B Sales, outbound sales or account management, Account Management experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
  • Strong organization and project management skills.
  • Friendly and personable demeanor.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant software.
