Your Role

As part of our South Central Regional Design Technology team, you are focused on researching, promoting, elevating, and strategically implementing our practice platforms. A critical, multifaceted role that provides technical leadership, strategic value, and deep tactical expertise in design technology and digital project delivery space.

Reporting directly to the Regional Design Technology Director, you will use your soft skills, relationship building and technical expertise to drive with confidence process innovation, optimization, and digital platforms implementation in partnership / collaboration with your peers in the design technology community. In partnership with the South Central Regional Design Technology leadership you will determine the strategy and roadmap for advancement of our regional digital design practices. We are seeking an experienced design professional with a deep knowledge of the design and construction process, as well as a curiosity for innovation to join our regional team.Ultimately, we believe that this role is a key contributor in delivering the highest value and best outcomes to our clients.

What You Will Do

  • Drive digital as a differentiator to our projects, teams, and clients

  • Subject Matter Expert on Agile Digital Project Delivery to Project Teams

  • Support digital implementation on projects from early stage pursuits through delivery

  • Develop, implement, and support of tools, templates and workflows

  • Reduce digital waste by implementing interoperability tools and workflows

  • Transform smart-digital data-driven ideas into reality implemented on projects

  • Champion digital transformation and cultural change throughout the region

  • Collaborate with regional Design Technology leaders on requirements and priorities

  • Participate in establishing and driving the Design Technology roadmap for the region

  • Lead cultural, process-driven and technical training in Design Technology

  • Research emerging technologies and define use-case for implementation on projects

  • Represent our firm through speaking engagements, hackathons an industry events

  • Lead software development for plug-ins and utilities with software development team

  • Partner with Design Leadership and practitioners throughout the firm

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent with 7+ years of experience in AEC/O space

  • Strong command of the Design Delivery process to fabrication / construction

  • Documented progressive growth and experience in leading / supporting Design Technology and innovative framework / workflows in project delivery

  • Articulate communicator with strong storytelling ability to push new innovative concepts and ideas in a highly creative culture

  • Entrepreneurial spirit that embraces change and constantly seeks new engagement opportunities

  • Strong interpersonal shifts with ability to listen and drive consensus through relationship building and ability to win the trust of teammates and project teams

  • Expert in design authoring technology platforms in areas of implementation, practice and development for Autodesk, Revit, Rhino, Sketch-up and Navisworks

  • Expert in implementing and supporting design collaboration platforms such as design authoring tools in a virtual environment, Panzura collaboration, AEC cloud-based products (BIM 360 Design, Docs, Coordinate and Build as well as New Forma)

  • Familiarity with Performance Design applications and analysis tools such as Insight 360, FenestraPro, Ladybug, etc.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop learning material, deliver effective training and provide ongoing education and technological support to project teams

  • Familiarity with 3d-printing and other physical model creation technologies

  • Highly desired understanding of and experience in computation/generative design platforms and visual programming such as Rhino, Grasshopper, Dynamo, etc.

  • Highly desired interoperability integration with visualization pipeline and VR/AR hardware and software including VRay, 3DS Max and Enscape

  • Highly desired ability to leverage data processing and visualization tools like PowerBI

  • Reliable, responsive and positive work ethic with the highest degree of integrity

  • Ability to exercise judgement and discretion and to set priorities and manage competing demands

*This is not a remote position. The successful candidate is expected to be in the Dallas or Houston office.*
