Title: Software Developer Department: IT Location: Washington, DC Reports To: Associate Director, Applications Classification: Full-time, Exempt How will you fight for an AIDS-free generation? The New Business Development Officer will coordinate and lead proposal efforts across EGPAF’s country programs and at the global level. The New Business Development Officer is instrumental in maintaining and growing EGPAF’s programs. They will play a key role in proposal design and management and will directly support the growth of EGPAF’s organizational strategy. They will work as a key member of the New Business Development team to track, prepare, and submit concept papers and proposals for US Government (USAID and CDC), non-US Government, bilateral, multilateral, and private funding opportunities. No two days are alike at EGPAF, but what can you expect in this role?
Assist other developers, analysts, and designers in conceptualizing and developing new software applications, reports and dashboards
Collaborate with team members to analyze requirements
Plan phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC) for a variety of projects
Assist in the preparation and documentation of software requirements and specifications
Conduct research on emerging application development software products, languages, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts
Support existing applications by responding to stakeholder needs, building reports and fixing bugs as required
Recommend, schedule, and perform software improvements and upgrades
Maintain positive working relationships with all staff, and provide strong written and verbal communication to all staff
Acquire and develop professional skills that benefit EGPAF and the individual
To be successful, you will have:
Bachelors in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar field or foreign equivalent and 2 years experience required
