Thomas Jefferson University seeks a 12-month faculty member in Couple and Family Therapy. This Assistant Professor will be responsible for oversight of the Sex Therapy Track and will also provide innovation and leadership over the distinction of the Sex Therapy Track within existing and new Couple and Family Therapy initiatives. This Assistant Professor will be tasked with preparing students to begin working to meet AASECT accreditation requirements after graduation. Assisting with recruitment and retention of Sex Therapy Track students is a responsibility of this faculty position. The candidate must maintain clinical practice outside of the University.
Candidate with AASECT certification and/or expertise in sex therapy preferred. Candidate having experience working in an accredited program is preferred.
Candidate with a minimum of1-2 years academic teaching experience (graduate-level preferred) and clinical experience in the field of Couple and Family Therapy is required.
Candidate must have a doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy (PhD or DCFT) and demonstrate a primary professional identity as a Marriage and Family Therapist. Candidate must meet COAMFTE accreditation requirements, including holding a license inMarriage and Family Therapy (LMFT) and an AAMFT Approved Supervisor or candidacy designation.
