Job Description
  • Assist with student-athlete recruitment: Ability to identify prospective student-athletes (PSA), assess talent, build relationships, and guide PSAs through initial eligibility process.
  • Coaching: Assist with planning practices, teaching strategy, advancing individual skills, enhancing strength and conditioning, scouting opponents and engaging in video review with individuals and team; ability to motivate individuals and team in pursuit of top performance.
  • Player development: Ability to provide academic support and personal mentoring through individual and team meetings.
  • Fundraising: Ability to plan alumni and fan events and cultivate donor relations. Designing, implementing, and overseeing camps and clinics.
  • Day-to-day operations/transactions: Ability to manage budgets within allocated parameters, complete administrative transactions in a timely manner, and engage in departmental communication with various staff to support program and student-athletes.
  • Scheduling: Assist with developing competitive schedules and organize logistics for team and recruiting travel.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Compliance: Knowledge of and commitment to NCAA, Conference, and Institutional policies and procedures.
  • Evidence of demonstrated ability to work with persons from culturally diverse backgrounds.
  • Other duties as assigned by head coach or director of athletics/designee.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Understanding of comprehensive duties of collegiate coach
  • NCAA off-campus recruiting certification or ability to gain certification immediately
  • Experience in organizing, marketing, and promoting various fundraising and team events
  • Evidence of a valid driver's license, or ability to acquire a legal driver's license or qualify for a reasonable accommodation
  • Evidence of the ability to work with persons from culturally diverse backgrounds
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous collegiate coaching experience.
