SUMMARY

We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Institutional Fixed Income Representative to join our Fixed Income Sales and Trading team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and expanding relationships with institutional clients, while marketing and executing fixed income transactions.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with institutional clients, including mutual funds, pension funds, separately managed accounts (SMA), insurance companies, trusts, and other institutional investors.
  • Market and execute fixed income transactions across various products, such as corporate bonds, government bonds, municipal bonds, structured products, and derivatives. Focus marketing efforts on negotiated proprietary offerings, competitive syndicate offerings and secondary market opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with the Fixed Income Trading team to ensure seamless execution and risk management for clients.
  • Stay current with market trends, regulatory changes, and macroeconomic developments to provide informed advice and guidance to clients on fixed income investment strategies.
  • Identify new business opportunities and work collaboratively with other internal teams to cross-sell relevant products and services.
  • Participate in industry conferences, seminars, and networking events to enhance Colliers Securities' visibility and reputation in the institutional fixed income market.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years of experience in fixed income sales, trading, or a related role within a financial institution or investment firm.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; a Master's degree or professional certifications are a plus.
  • Established network of institutional investor relationships and a proven track record of successful fixed income transactions.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate complex fixed income products and make sound investment recommendations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts effectively to clients and colleagues.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

JOB EXPECTATIONS

  • Obtain and maintain applicable Series 7 & 66 within the first year, if currently not licensed.
  • Occasional Domestic travel required
  • Regular and reliable attendance required

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

  • This is a full-time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday during standard business hours. Regular and reliable attendance required.
