ABOUT COLLIERS FUNDING

Community banks work with us to enhance and diversify bank loan portfolios without compromising asset quality or adding extra overhead to service the credit. As a commercial finance company we service rather than compete with community banks. Our current portfolio has been participated to hundreds of community banks nationwide. Our loan participations structured for the community bank market can benefit banks in many ways, including:

  • Supplement loan portfolios without adding extra overhead to originate and service the credit.
  • Diversify loan portfolios outside of normal geographic region, bringing the possibility of better financial performance and higher returns.
  • Provide access to credits and opportunities that are not traditionally available to community banks.

SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly motivated, dynamic, and experienced Loan Participation Sales Specialist to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for distributing loan participations to our extensive network of community and regional banks as well as build on our existing relationships.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with community and regional banks and credit unions to expand our loan participation distribution network.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the loan participation market by leveraging industry knowledge, market trends, and competitive intelligence.
  • Execute the end-to-end sales process, from initial client engagement and proposal development to closing the transaction and post-closing follow-up.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the loan participation market, including regulatory requirements, market dynamics, and competitor offerings, to provide informed advice and guidance to clients and colleagues.
  • Actively participate in industry conferences, seminars, and networking events to enhance Colliers Funding's visibility and reputation in the loan participation market.
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years of experience in loan syndication sales, leveraged finance, or a related role within a financial institution or investment firm.
  • Established network of institutional investor relationships and a proven track record of successful loan syndication transactions.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to make sound risk/reward judgments
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts effectively to clients and colleagues.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; a Master's degree or professional certification is a plus.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

  • This is a full-time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday during standard business hours. Regular and reliable attendance required.
