What You Will Do
This position is responsible to ensure that our large customer implementations are properly organized, successful, and properly rolled out. The Installations Project Manager will assist customers in creating a project plan, organize all individuals involved, create/facilitate a task/action list to hold all parties accountable, and measure success.Ultimately the Installations Project Manager is responsible for managing the relationships with the customer contacts to ensure the customer is 100% satisfied with the decision to purchase Trimble Transportation and willing to provide testimonials as such.Also included is the successful execution of the Trimble Transportation Project Management Methodology system to ensure the long term customer satisfaction.Responsibilities include:
Create Trimble Transportation Project Management Methodology Plan for each customer installation project.
Create and maintain live dashboard information on the progress of installs including challenges, roadblocks and solutions.
Conduct conference calls to set agendas and expectations and summarize progress and tasks required
Ensure all parties have completed their tasks as described in the Project Management Plan:
Integration (if involved) - communicate and resolved all integration issues
Customer Installers - to facilitate training when required and to maintain expectations on both quality and schedule.
3rd party vendors - ensuring adherence to schedules and quality standards.
Customer Management contacts
Fulfillment - to facilitate proper hardware at service location and to handle any product failure returns.
Customer Manager - ensuring internal support is aligned
Professional Services - during engagements
Other departments as needed
Knowledgeable on all Trimble Transportation tools/applications - to effectively train customer on use
Communicate and work with drivers, mechanics, dispatchers, and management
Inspect hardware in vehicles
Present to executive level individuals
Conduct training on web based interface and all Trimble Transportation VAS
What Skills And Experience You Should Bring
Bachelor's degree (or) equivalent experience in a Technology, Customer Service or Transportation related field
3 years of project management experience
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and/or Google Suite
Presentation experience
Highly organized and demonstrated problem solving skills
Attention to detail
Willing to travel up to 10%
Positive motivation and people skills
Able to facilitate meetings with a high level of organization
Able to manage total accountability for a customer specific project
Willingness to work at a customer site for lengthy periods of time
Preferred Skills And Experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Projects and Visio or equivalent
Operations experience in transportation industry
Mobile communications and wireless experience
System knowledge of 3rd party dispatch applications
