Job Description

You will be working with our EDS team who is an Electronic Dental and Medical Claims clearinghouse and one of the largest in the industry. We focus on bringing together Payers, Providers and Vendors to promote software and services that can help in the EDI world.

Henry Schein One is currently hiring for a Sr .NET Developer. This position is responsible for creating technology-based solutions by developing, testing, debugging, documenting, and installing programs to support software applications. You’ll help build applications to support Medical and Dental Claim Processing.

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform analysis, development, testing, debugging, configuration, incident investigation, documentation, and implementation for new development and enhancements
  • Work within guidelines, standards and best practices set by team to independently tackle well-scoped problems
  • Seek opportunities to expand technical knowledge and capabilities
  • Creates moderate to complex technology solutions to support systems/applications
  • Develops, tests, debugs, documents, and installs programs
  • Defines project objectives by analyzing user requirements
  • Participates in actively identifying bottlenecks and determining root of problems
  • Active participant in planning activities. Contributes to the strategic direction of products
  • Anticipates risks and technical issues and makes appropriate decisions to avoid them
  • Performs support and maintenance on .Net applications
  • Maintains awareness of the latest developments in key areas of responsibility and brings forward opportunities that might benefit the organization

What You’ll Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent working experience
  • 5+ years of experience in object-oriented development using .NET frameworks and C#
  • Experience in iterative development; requirements gathering, technical design, development, testing, implementation, and support
  • Experience with MS SQL Server (PL/SQL, Stored Packages/Procedures development, SQL) or other RDBMS
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows OS (UNIX is a plus, but not required)
  • Working knowledge of Win32API and Windows Automation is preferred
  • Working knowledge of development and source control management tools such as Visual Studio and Git is preferred
  • Working knowledge of Windows Forms .NET is preferred
  • Working knowledge of REST APIs is preferred
  • Interest in Dental and Medical Claim Processing is very helpful

Compensation:

The posted range for this position is $106,720 - $160,080 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc. This position is eligible for a 10% bonus not reflected in the posted range.
