Primary supervision of inmates in a linear and direct supervision facility.
Exercise independent judgment in emergencies.
Accurately query and process information using various computer systems.
Maintain detailed and accurate jail log.
Monitor compliance with rules and regulations governing work release inmates.
Perform booking, receiving, and processing of all inmates for two facilities.
Receive and record fees and monies.
Maintain effective communication with the courts, community corrections, probation officers, lawyers, supervisors, main jail, and inmates.
Assist general public with a variety of services.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or GED, training beyond high school that can be obtained in one year or less, and six months related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be 18 years of age or older. Valid driver's license required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Associates degree or higher in corrections, criminology, criminal justice, psychology, social work, sociology, or law enforcement. Previous correctional experience. Working knowledge of computer systems including MS Office, jail booking system (Mugshot), Portal 100, Indentix, CJIIN, Odyssey and video surveillance equipment. Bilingual in Spanish, Somali or Sign Language.
