GENERAL PURPOSE

The Senior Sitecore Developer will work directly with the product/project managers, business analysts, internal business customers and infrastructure groups as needed to design, document, develop and test information delivery solutions. Responsible for creating, maintaining and executing team processes, standards and production delivery. Additional responsibilities include reviewing existing processes to ensure Company aligns with industry best practices, creating and maintaining team processes, and development and support standards for Company's environment.

DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Creates software design specifications which meet all the business requirements, utilizing the appropriate notations and templates
  • Participates and/or facilitates in the requirement specification process for new software functionality to ensure that definitions of new functionality are clearly defined, fully understood and deliverable
  • Collaborates with Product Managers to determine appropriate software capabilities, functionality and design options
  • Provide peer reviews to ensure designs are consistent with organizational development standards and align with industry guidelines/best practices
  • Participates/Executes in creation of testing plans and in the execution of test cases May develop the testing and validation of new software or enhancements to ensure software changes meet functional requirements
  • Participates/Executes in the design, development and testing of complex enhancements spanning multiple applications
  • Collaborates with web designer to help make decisions or provides insight on design adjustments or guidance as needed
  • Participates/Executes in developing and maintaining the roadmap for technology tools and environments
  • Provides post-production application support as required. Responsibilities may include consultation, problem identification, data analysis, and / or emergency repairs
  • Provides technical expertise in evaluating and determining what new technologies will work within current and future product delivery environments
  • Understand workplace hazards and take steps to proactively prevent and report hazards or injuries in the workplace. Cooperate in safety programs, initiatives, and investigations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Front End Development experience
  • Ecommerce Platform Experience
  • Understanding of B2B needs
  • Ability to produce clear technical documentation and oversee technical review processes
  • Ability to help customers understand capabilities and translate requirements into solutions that are practical to implementation, robust and scalable
  • Ability to review technical documentation and review processes
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast paced changing environment -- multi-tasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner
  • Requires frequent availability and communication during non-standard business hours to communicate with global team members
  • Excellent verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization
  • Strong organizational, attention to detail and task follow-up skills
  • Adept at handling multiple assignments in a timely manner and meeting assigned deadlines
  • Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross division business unit model, preferred
  • Strong technical, analytical, problem-solving skills

Minimum Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in computers, business or other related technical degree with 7 years of experience or combination of relevant education and experience.

Technical Qualifications: Web-Complete solution development experience working with the following relevant platforms - 7 years':

  • Visual Studio, C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET and general .NET framework
  • Javascript, JQuery, and client side AJAX functionality
  • Experience developing Sitecore (7.x) web content management based solutions - 3 years
  • HTML with CSS layouts in web standard based approach for cross browser compatibility
  • SQL Server, SQL queries, stored procedures and XML
  • Expertise with software configuration management using VSS / TFS as well as packaging and deployment frameworks
  • Data Templates and Content Hierarchy for a multi-site environment
  • Content controls and interactive forms
  • Page layouts with multi-lingual and multi-device rendering (responsive design)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Sitecore 8.x Experience

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required (for the majority of the working day) to sit and make coordinated movements of the fingers for data entry on a keyboard.
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds
  • General office environment
  • May require regular ground travel to other company facilities
  • Must be available for long, varied work hours at times.
  • Long-distance or air travel as needed - not to exceed 10% travel.
