- Job Summary
Rice County is seeking self-motivated college students looking for hands on IT experience supporting a wide and diverse user population of over 400 employees. Internships are being offered throughout 2023 for ones interested in working with the Information Technology Department at Rice County. The hours of work can be as flexible as you choose to work around your college classes!
JOB SUMMARY:
Assists in maintaining and supporting the County's computer systems as well as assists in technology projects of a diverse variety.
- Examples of Duties
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: - Answers the IT help desk and assists callers with technical support.
- Receives and inventories all technology (hardware, software, etc)
- Installs and configures computer equipment and systems
- Provides technical support and maintenance for all technology systems
- Upgrade and maintain hardware/software to conform to organizational standards and requirements
- Provides technical support for miscellaneous hardware
- Assists IT staff with miscellaneous technology projects/efforts
- Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED. The job requires 3 months experience working with computers, software and users, specifically building and maintaining personal computer hardware and computer software. We will also consider 3 months of experience you may have acquired through education/ college classes.- Supplemental Information
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: Flexible full-time or part-time hours depending on the individual's internship requirements and/ or college class schedules. Start and End dates will be determined by either internship requirements or the availability of the student. Will be accepting applications throughout 2023.
