The Event Planner will create and execute client events from concept through execution. The Event Planner will demonstrate fast, flexible, and strategic thinking to creatively accomplish goals for the wealth and commercial lines of business teams as it relates to high-end event management execution. This role requires extensive interaction with team members from the corporate marketing team, procurement, in-market bankers, community marketing managers, and senior management to ensure consistent and distinctive client experience aligned with Old National's business strategies. This role will take ownership for all project management, budget, marketing, and event production needs. The Event Planner may also be responsible for special projects and ad hoc requests in collaboration with members of ONB Senior Management / Executive Leadership team to deliver annual all team member events.

Key Accountabilities

Key Accountability: Develop an event strategy and plan that supports the business strategy and objectives

    Develops and maintains an understanding of the business strategy and objectives and relates this to the design and execution of high-caliber events that connect the bank with targeted clients throughout the ONB network.
  • Create well-timed and relevant communication plans associates with events.
  • Manages high-touch events consistent with the Company brand standards.
  • Determine, communicate, and manage event timelines; develop a resource plan addressing staffing and logistical needs for each event.
  • Generate out-of-the box and actionable ideas; bring creativity to all aspects of the role from problem-solving to leveraging resources, identifying event options, and up-and-coming venues.

Key Accountability: Leverages Resources Effectively

  • Support ONB events through invitation/RSVP management, promotional productions (print, digital, social), day-of management including ad hoc and VIP needs, event follow-up, performance analysis, budget reconciliation, and supply inventory management.
  • Create, manage, and maintain guests lists and databases for ONB events using the Salesforce Event Management tool.
  • Research, compile, and manage venues and vendors, including contract negotiations and execution, always keeping budget top of mind. Continually assess vendor delivery, sourcing new venues and/or vendors to build a resource database.
  • Continually analyze and recommend ways to improve the ONB event experience through digital and in-person tools, methods, and innovations in the marketplace.

Key Accountability: Financial Management/Oversight

  • Build and monitor accurate event budgets.
  • Manage expense associated with events including post-event expense reconciliation and assessment of return on investment as needed.
  • Assist with expense planning and forecasting.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, hospitality/event planning or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years events management or marketing experience; PR event experience is a strong plus.
  • Experience in Financial sector event planning preferred.
  • Experience in successfully producing and scaling conferences and meetings, potentially at the executive level.
  • Proficiency in modern software and platforms (e.g., Microsoft suite, Salesforce).
  • Strong project management skills and solution-oriented thinking.
  • This position requires travel up to 30% of the time.
