The Role

GovExec is seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and driven Marketing Communications Associate to join our team. As Marketing Communications Associate, you will be a critical player in achieving GovExec's aggressive growth plans. You will work closely with senior management stakeholders to drive awareness of GovExec's brands and platforms. This position will report directly to the Senior Director of Brand Marketing.

Responsibilities:

  • Writing, editing, and providing holistic creative input for branded content programs-articles, infographics, video, and email and social media campaigns, scripting, etc.-on a variety of subjects for a government contracting audience.
  • Create and edit channel marketing copy (such as LinkedIn, email, and Google Ads) that supports in-bound generation goals, and builds thought leadership within the B2G community.
  • Collaborate with marketing colleagues to coordinate and execute marketing tactics and initiatives in support of strategic go-to-market plans and revenue growth objectives.
  • Align marketing copy with relevant strategy, positioning, and messaging.
  • Occasionally assist in the preparation of marketing collateral and sales tools; defining and writing sales proposals to support sales efforts.

Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of experience in communications, copywriting, and/or marketing strategy.
  • Experience in the government or technology space is a plus.
  • Familiarity and interest in producing content for a range of platforms, including web, email, social, and across mediums, including text, video, and audio.
  • Strong attention to detail and high editorial standards.
  • Strong writing and editing skills across a wide range of content areas, including technology, finance, health, defense and more.
