Job/Internship Description

Are you looking for a summer internship to help grow your IT support and maintenance skills?  Build your problem-solving abilities and gain hands-on technical support experience under the direction of our IT support staff.  The ideal candidate will be a quick learner with strong computer skills that can achieve results and provide excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist the IT staff in maintaining and supporting the company’s technology infrastructure and business system applications. 
• Ensure quality technical support services are provided to employees in a timely manner.
• Integrate PCs into the office environment, including the assembly, configuration, and maintenance.
• Install and configure software and hardware for PCs and laptops.
• Maintain copiers, printers, and fax machines.
• Participate in technology projects which include new development, purchased solutions, and other automation efforts.
• Consult, research, evaluate, and recommend solutions to meet business requirements. Works with diverse technologies to design, develop, test, integrate and implement solutions for various applications supported.
• Document application details and issue resolution tips for use by service desk technicians and end-users.
• Develop training materials and procedures.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Talents, Skills, Expertise, Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Enrolled in and pursuing a 2 or 4 year degree in Information Technology or related field, preferably with a technology emphasis.
• Customer service experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of operations of office equipment such as PCs, copiers, printers, portable cell devices, and telephones.
• Ability to clearly communicate information and ideas both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to listen and understand information being communicated.
• Ability to read, understand and follow written work documents.
• Ability to research, document, and use problem solving skills.

Preferred Talents, Skills, Expertise, Education:
• 2 years general work experience.
• Knowledge of MS Office, Windows O/S and Intel desktop computers.
• Knowledge of current Windows version and legacy versions, including: Windows 10, Windows8, and Windows 7.
