Job Description: Carley Foundry is a manufacturer of premium quality castings located in Blaine, Minnesota. We are proudly making products in America and are seeking either an Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team!
Requirements: The position requires a minimum 2 year accounting or business degree. 1 year of experience is required in an accounting position. This job covers a wide variety of duties and tasks of a financial nature.
A/R Job Duties include but not limited to:
Create invoices from packing slips
Research, resolve and create credit memos
Enter and establish prospective/new customers and terms
Research and resolve payment discrepancies
Work directly with many internal departments (Production Control, Sales, Shipping/Receiving, Engineering)
Learn company GL accounts
Create manual journal entries
Prepare bank deposits
Collection and follow-up on past due accounts
Review past due accounts with Controller
Complete month-end close reconciliations in a timely manner
Assist with Year End Audit preparation
Assist with semi-annual inventory
Maintain various Excel spreadsheets
Various duties/projects as assigned
Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Excellent communication skills
Understanding of the General Ledger
Understanding of Sales and Use tax
Proficient with Microsoft ie: Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.
Reliable and ability to meet deadlines
Detailed oriented - Accuracy is a must
Ability to follow instructions
Ability to prioritize
Ability to multi-task and work with time constraints
Ability to research and resolve problems
