What success looks like in this role:

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and organize the reporting portfolio. Monitor the effectiveness and performance of reporting products, modifying or operationalizing new reports as needed.
  • Design, develop and deliver various types of Workday reports to the business, including Standard, Composite, Matrix, and Trending Reports, and Worksheets.
  • Proactively identify and develop reporting dashboards to improve Workday utilization, creating solutions that support metrics for HR and the business at large.
  • Assist with implementations, enhancements, and upgrades, including the deployment of Workday bi-annual releases and the change management process.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues including data errors, security, process and integration issues with a focus on identifying the root cause and creative problem-solving.
  • Ensure the proper use, storage, and transmission of sensitive employee data and participate in data governance and security review.
  • Create and update documentation and training/quick reference guides for pertinent system implementations, upgrades and modifications. Provide appropriate communications as upgrades and modifications occur.
  • Conduct audits for data quality/integrity and system maintenance, ensuring accurate data is delivered to all parties, including third parties.
  • Maintain visibility on Workday Community and local user groups to keep abreast of new features, product defects, and advocate for desired enhancements.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

Education, Experience, & Skills Required:

  • Bachelor's or Master Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Human Resources or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of Workday experience in an analyst or administrator or developer role supporting core HR functions.
  • Ability to independently, resourcefully, and creatively research and implement new solutions
  • Working knowledge of analysis and reporting tools like Excel, Microsoft BI (Report builder, Power BI) along with good knowledge of PowerPoint presentation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, detail orientated with a desire to improve existing processes, develop technical skills and implement best practices
  • Experience as a Reporting developer is required on multiple end-to-end implementations of Workday HCM, including, Requirements gathering, Solution design and creation of Reporting specifications, Hands-on reports/dashboard/Prism integrations development, testing activities, Move into Production, Ongoing support
  • Hands-on Custom Reports and advance reporting development experience is required (Advanced, Matrix, and Composite Reports, BIRT etc.)
  • Experience with capturing requirements and documenting business processes as well as prototyping and testing.
  • Demonstrated ability to create, modify, and manage Workday calculated fields and security roles while evaluating downstream implications.
  • Experience facilitating stakeholder inputs, conducting requirement gathering sessions, and partnering with HR Information Systems (HRIS) and IT teams.
  • Self-starter with a high level of discretion with highly sensitive/confidential data.
  • Proven consulting and communications skills with a service-oriented approach to internal customers and peer relationships.
  • Analyze sensitive and highly confidential information and ability to critically analyze data and produce reports and dashboards that impact multiple levels of the organization.
  • Understanding of many Workday modules and data architecture, Workday business object model.
  • Demonstrated understanding of HRIS database design, structure, functions and processes.
  • Workday Reporting certification strongly preferred.
