What success looks like in this role:

Role overview:

The Client Architect will act as a Senior IT presales Solution Architect, who will have overall responsibility for the technology program on a leading North American account and for assisting the sales and Client Executives and operational teams in delivering the contracted services. Primarily focused on expanding our portfolio footprint by creating compelling solutions based on our portfolio and the Client requirements. Working as a trusted advisor to the customers in respect of our scope of contracted services, providing insight and guidance on future innovations and technical roadmaps.

By understanding the clients' key IT and business challenges, this individual will be responsible for transforming our processes, people, technology and culture, focused on the quality of client experience at all levels. This person will act as a true client advocate, ensuring the client's voice is heard in all functions and activities, and that this influences Unisys' priorities and behaviors.

Main responsibilities:

• Manage, use and maintain IT/technology architecture models and create a client specific strategy for the area
• Work in partnership with the client executive and operational teams to identify new opportunities to expand our portfolio of contracted services
• Analyze and manage customer requirements, and work with the project/change team to develop project plans and to deliver the solution
• Drive internal offering & capability development to meet client needs: provide feedback and input whilst working with our portfolio and capability units
• Identify, evaluate, and recommend solutions that contribute towards building a business case for the customer in respect of new or enhanced technologies
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations, drive up client satisfaction, increase client value
• Work with broader Unisys presales function to develop, shape and ultimately propose new solutions and opportunities for the US & Canada customer environment
• Be an ambassador for the Unisys Service Lines, educating both the Unisys Account teams and Client personnel on the Unisys future strategy, innovation programs, service roadmaps and overall solution architecture
• Communicate and contribute with the Service Lines on issues identified from field observations, client feedback and technical communities (e.g., Case Studies)
• Assisting your Solution Architecture peer group with technical proposal reviews and evaluations whilst also offering technical leadership and mentoring
• Opportunity to assist in proposal submissions to Unisys new logo clients utilising knowledge from your base accounts

You will be successful in this role if you have:

Key qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a technology related field or equivalent experience
• At least 10 years' experience as a Client Architect, Presales Architect or equivalent
• Sound experience in working with large IT Infrastructure service delivery
• Demonstrated experience as technical lead for a major technology implementation or technical project / program
• Consultative selling knowledge / experience
• Strong know-how in Microsoft technology
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills across multiple staff levels

• Ability to understand specific client business operations, strategies, objectives, needs and translating these into requirements and the basis for compelling solutions
• Driven, self-motivated and distinctive personality who is able to motivate himself and others
• Curious, hands-on and pragmatic character
• Demonstrated client interfacing skills

Working hours and flexibility:

• General working shift is daytime US hours, which allows candidates from across LATAM to apply with the understanding that candidates located in the east of the continent might have a later starting shift than typical local hours.
• The position requires availability to travel to the US up to 25% but travel is not guaranteed.
