Riverway Clinics has an exciting full-time opportunity for a Radiology Technologist or X-Ray Technician to work evenings in the Laboratory and Radiology departments at our Andover location. This position will combine your Radiology skillset with the Laboratory. This will include specimen collection, specimen processing and resulting, instrument maintenance and troubleshooting, supply management and teamwork! Laboratory training will be provided for those with no prior lab experience. (4/22/2022)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Radiology Technologist

REQUIRED:

  • Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology
  • Currently registered A.R.R.T. in Minnesota
  • Body mobility -- coordinated dexterity of hand, ear and eye, sensory acuity and verbal ability.

PREFERRED:

  • Previous work experience.
  • Previous laboratory or phlebotomy experience.
  • Member M.S.R.T. (Minnesota Society of Radiologic Technologists) or A.S.R.T. (American Society of Radiologic Technologists)

X-Ray Technician

REQUIRED:

  • Graduate of a certified X-Ray Technician Program.
  • Passed all areas of the Minnesota State Limited Scope X-ray Operator Registration: Core Exam, Chest Module, Extremity Module, Podiatry Module, Spine Module and Skull/Sinus Module

PREFERRED:

  • Previous work experience.
  • Previous laboratory or phlebotomy experience.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Performs all duties necessary in the positioning and radiating of patients, image processing, quality control and patient education regarding exposure.
  • Performs high quality images with minimum errors.
  • Provides proper radiation protection and quality care to patients, employees and self by selecting proper technical factors and operating equipment in a safe effective manner while ensuring established protocol for quality control is followed.
  • Performs specimen collection via phlebotomy or nasal/throat swabbing, per provider orders.
  • Performs routine testing for use in treatment and diagnosis of disease in accordance with clinical and governmental standards.
  • Prepares, analyzes, evaluates and documents patient specimens in various departments within the laboratory.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. Must possess speech, hearing and sight skills to perform the functions of the position. Manual dexterity required. Must be able to speak, read and write English proficiently. Some lifting may be required.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
