Position Responsibilities
** The Position is housed with Bianchi Electric, LLC**

The Equipment Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating and directing the operations of all equipment by following corporate maintenance and repair programs, equipment safety programs and equipment use policies on company job sites.

This position acts as a technical advisor on equipment issues and assists the project management and operations teams with the day to day management of IEA's assets at the project level.

  • Monitors and tracks equipment daily at the job site.
  • Responsible for electrical oversight of the project site.
  • Responsible for successful implementation and carry through of the corporate preventative maintenance and maintenance program on all rented, leased, and owned equipment.
  • Maintains all equipment to the highest level of safety and quality
  • Maintains a repair schedule, updates equipment files with repair and maintenance history.
  • Prepares purchase orders for rental equipment; tracks each piece of rented equipment.
  • Coordinates repairs and maintenance with onsite mechanics
  • Generates job site purchase orders for repairs or required maintenance from outside vendors or suppliers and monitors those repairs and cost so they are properly performed.
  • Purchases small tools and any supplies needed for the equipment or work crews under his direction.
  • Initiates corporate purchase orders in accordance with company policy.
  • Reviews monthly budget report for his / her project and tracks equipment costs.
  • Reconciles vendor accounts / statements at the end of the month and follows up with and corrects any discrepancies.
  • Inspects equipment on a regular basis to comply with company safety policies.
  • Assures required inspections are being completed and are being turned in as specified
  • Coordinates training sessions for new equipment with the operators as needed.
  • Coordinates updating DMV information IEA / White Construction Transportation Department to ensure compliance
  • Education
    GED
    High School Diploma
    Position Requirements
  • At least eight (8) years' experience as a Heavy Equipment Manager or Equipment Mechanic
  • Five (5) to Ten (10) years of related experience or training or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least five (5) years of powerline construction experience or residential electrical experience necessary.
  • College level courses in Heavy Equipment Mechanics
  • College level course in Heavy Equipment Component / Sub System / Circuit Theory
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States now and in the future
