Job Description
Carley Foundry, Inc. is looking for an experienced Payroll Clerk to own the payroll process at our company. If you are a self-motivated experienced payroll professional who likes to work in a team environment with positive attitude, this is a great opportunity for you.  This position requires accounting experience, you must be detailed orientation and able to multi-task with limited supervision in a fast paced manufacturing environment. 

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Processing weekly payroll for 200+ employees
  • Auditing abilities required to maintain employee payroll records
  • Processes payroll deductions for insurance programs, garnishments, taxes and any payroll related task
  • Assists with various accounting projects as requested
  • Reports directly to the Accounting Manager and interacts closely with Human Resources
  • Stays current on external payroll-related rules, laws, and regulations as well as internal policies and procedures including payroll taxes, COVID regulations, federal and state income and social security taxes and other required reporting (W-4, SUI, etc.)

The Payroll Clerk is responsible for aiding the Controller, Accounting Manager, Departmental Supervisors and Senior Management to ensure the effective operation of the applicable areas.

Qualifications:

  • Accounting degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of prior payroll experience
  • ADP Workforce Now experience required
