At TA Instruments, the Production Manager position is a great leadership opportunity to join a world class analytical instrument manufacturer. The work environment is inclusive, team oriented and the customer is always our first priority. 

  • Position will be located in Eden Prairie, MN facility.
  • Directly supervises a group of instrument assemblers and/or technicians involved in the production of electroforce instruments ensuring that work is performed in accordance with established working procedures; trains, evaluates performance, and recommends disciplinary actions.
  • Reviews production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations.
  • Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
  • Prepares operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.
  • Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
  • Compiles, stores, and retrieves production data.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Production Management, or closely related field

Experience:

  • 5+ years of Manufacturing related experience. 
  • 2+ year of Supervisory experience in a Manufacturing Production environment.

Skills:

  • Must have conflict resolution skills 
  • Must embody leadership qualities to motivate and coach Manufacturing employees
  • Must have proficient skills in all Microsoft Suite products (Excel, Word, Power Point)
  • Must be able to travel when needed by car and plane (less than 10%)
  • High in interpersonal skills with other management team members
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure/high-pace manufacturing environment in order to meet Department goals
  • Must encourage a safe and qualitative manufacturing environment
  • Lean manufacturing mind-set
