Job Description Position Overview: Phillips-Medisize, a Molex Company, is seeking a Metrologist to provide information needed to verify that tooling and parts meet or exceed customer requirements at our Global Innovation and Development center in Hudson, WI.
Essential Functions:
Organize and Organize and complete First Article layouts and Capability Studies
Maintain laboratory systems, procedures, and policies to meet or exceed customer requirements
May perform color studies, submission packages, geometric design and tolerance
Participate in Advance Quality Planning; which may include Gage R&R, FMEAs, and flow diagrams
Perform MSA analysis and provide interpretation to engineering
Verify compliance to engineering specifications
Compile necessary paperwork, SPC charts, raw material certs, and paint lab reports to complete certifications sent to the customer
Perform raw materials testing, update SPC data, file and update color chips
File all necessary certifications, reports, etc
May provide guidance to measurement personnel
Select, program and operate all measurement systems; able to run all software
Identifies the appropriate measurement method
Application of CAD data for concurrent engineering to speed up the FAI process
Extended travel to other facilities may be required to support business needs
Some programs may have vision requirements
Coordinate external Metrology needs as applicable
Manage/Execute GRR activity in accordance with System requirements
Develop/Mentor Quality Inspectors in Measurement Systems and Techniques
Support Engineering in the development of specifications and prints

Position Qualifications Required Qualifications:
Technical degree in precision measurement or equivalent education and experience
Minimum three (3) years of quality related experience
Skills and Abilities:
ASQ certification or equivalent experience (CMI)
Good verbal and written communications skills
Advanced knowledge of metrology, statistics and blueprint reading
Proficient with personal computer and standard office suite software
Basic math skills
Proficient with personal computer and standard office suite software
Ability to apply Statistical Process Control and Geometric Dimensioning
Strong understanding and ability to use statistical analysis tools
