Job Description

As an IT Business Analyst on CH Robinson's Navisphere Orders team, you will use your combined experienced in technology and business analytics to define, document, and coordinate business initiatives to help build and deliver world class supply chain software. This team is responsible for maintaining and moving our core Orders platform into the future. In this role, you will partner with software engineers across multiple teams to manage and drive project work forward. You will experience success in this role by leveraging your passion for technology, motivation, strong communication skills and desire to work in a highly collaborative environment.

  • Document business and technical requirements into user stories which are clear, unique, complete, consistent, traceable, and verifiable/testable
  • Work with the architects, technical leads and developers to translate requirements into system designs
  • Collaborate with and support developers during their design and development efforts to provide support for their analysis of the story
  • Create test plans, test cases and do functional testing, as needed
  • Validate that product deliveries meet requirements and when necessary, facilitate product demonstrations
  • Proactively contribute to the quality of the product by seeking and proposing new or alternative approaches to address the requirements
  • Participate in daily Stand-Up meetings, Sprint Demonstrations, Retrospectives, and Sprint Planning
  • Address issues and mitigate risks, communicate status to business, management and other technology teams that are impacted by the project
  • Effectively manage the schedule and time of multiple active and pending projects
Required Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of experience in information technology
  • 2+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst or Product Manager managing the delivery of information technology solutions
  • Experience with XML, JSON and basic SQL
  • High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability and willingness to quickly learn new custom applications
  • Demonstrate leadership, critical thinking, negotiation, facilitation, consulting, problem solving, decision-making, strategic and analytical skills
  • Self-starter and able to work under minimal supervision
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineer, or MIS
