Job Description Position Overview: Phillips-Medisize, a Molex Company, is seeking a Production Coordinator to maximize effectiveness of pre-production manufacturing by planning and communicating build activities to support manufacturing. Establish and maintain mutually rewarding relations with internal and external customers by ensuring customer expectations are being met.
Essential Functions: Customer Service
Communicate accurate and timely information regarding customer purchase and shipping requirements and concerns throughout the organization and provide feedback of capabilities to customers
Negotiate on issues pertaining to quantity, pricing, and delivery
Work collaboratively with all departments to provide the most efficient and effective service to our customers
Research and follow-up on sales order changes, RFQs, cancellations, pricing issues, complaints, corrective actions, etc.
Ensure appropriate recordkeeping and documentation associated with all customer service processes and procedures
Represent the needs of customers regarding corrective and preventive action
Manage build schedules on selected programs
Serve as a liaison between Program Manager/Project Engineer and Operations
Work with vendors and Operations to track the status of parts sent out for secondary operations
Arrange for transportation of shipments when necessary and manage premium freight costs to minimize impact to the facility
Inform Program Manager/Project Engineer of price changes, overtime premium and expedited changes
Forecast and monitor resources/machine requirements weekly to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime
Monitor and coordinate production scheduling of products from beginning to end to ensure shipment per commitments
Schedule all process areas efficiently for all programs by utilizing the manufacturing system to develop work schedules that facilitate the timely completion of job orders based on relative priority
Ensure all required components, documentation, subassemblies, supplies and equipment are available to run jobs - this may include facilities other than GID.
Work with vendors to track the status of parts sent out for secondary operations

Position Qualifications Required Qualifications:
Degree in production management or related field (concentration in scheduling, materials management or customer service)
Minimum two (2) years' related experience in manufacturing facility with scheduling, inventory or materials management experience
Skills and Abilities:
Skills in problem solving techniques
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel; or similar office related software
Experience working with an ERP system
Good interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
Good organizational skills and the ability to do multiple tasks at the same time
Knowledge of basic inventory, production control techniques, JIT, work cells, self-managed teams
Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
Ability to direct and motivate people
