Job Description Position Overview: Phillips-Medisize, a Molex Company, is seeking a Writer for Healthcare Content Manager to lead all writing, editing and content creation related to healthcare case studies. Work collaboratively with our innovation and development staff, marketing communications and business development teams, to create content to support marketing and sales efforts.
We seek a highly motivated candidate produce strong case studies and white papers that align with the business needs of the organization. Background in medical writing strongly preferred, strong science educational foundation preferred.
Writes and edits case studies and/or white papers including special summaries for in-company use, customer presentations, and other projects requiring skill in healthcare communication
Performs detailed analysis of data from a variety of sources to produce case studies and/or white papers
Creates tables, charts, figures, and other visual display elements for presenting project related data
Supports publication of high-quality articles featuring project results
Supporting preparation of abstracts and/or scientific exhibits, posters and verbal presentations of accepted abstracts at key professional society meetings, as needed
Select and manage contracted Medical Writers, when necessary

Position Qualifications Required Qualifications:
Minimum Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biological Sciences, Medicine or related
Medical writing certification preferred
At least four (4) years' Medical writing work experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology industries
At least two (2) years' experience in the preparation of scientific manuscripts
At least two (2) years' experience in the preparation of articles for scientific journals
Some experience with conducting reviews using database sources such as PubMed, Clinicaltrials.gov, Google Scholar etc.
Skills and Abilities:
Intermediate understanding of the visual display of quantitative information (e.g., tables, figures). Basic proficiency in (or willingness and ability to quickly learn) design programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator
Software proficiency such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (including the capability to use statistical functions and tools).
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills; deadline, detail, and quality-oriented, and ability to handle multiple projects
Demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret, and report on scientific, medical, and technical publications
Natural curiosity to learn, interview and identify insights, in working with the staff, teams, and industry data
Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills to deliver compelling healthcare case studies and white papers in a timely fashion
A desire for team-based work in a high intensity, fast-paced work environment
Exceptionally strong personal initiative and comfort with ambiguity
Demonstrated bibliographic research and editorial skills
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and proofreading skills
