DecksDirect is looking to hire a data-driven, analytical and tenacious Product Buyer to join our Merchandising team. This role is accountable for a designated product assortment, including the sales, margin and inventory of that buying category. We carry the largest in-stock selection of decking materials, so actively managing your product lines is critical in serving our customers first.

Responsibilities:

• Product purchasing decisions that lead us to meet our sales and inventory goals
• Analyze market trends and competition
• Maintain product and purchase order data in our system
• Professional knowledge of your product
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with our vendors

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business, communication, retail merchandising (preferred, but not required)
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Desire and ability to work cross-functionally
• A sense of humor (required)
• Ability to travel 2-3 times each year
