Job Description
Summary:
This position is primarily responsible for assisting the General Manager in all areas relating to human resources activity as well as office administrative tasks by performing the following duties.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
 
HR:
 
Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
 
Processes employment applications and assists recruiting, interviewing and other aspects of the hiring process.
 
Records employee information such as personal data, benefits, tax data, attendance, performance reviews or evaluations, and termination date and reason.
 
Updates employee files to document personnel actions and to provide information for payroll and other uses.
 
Plans and conducts new employee orientation and onboarding process.
 
Compiles and maintains records for use in employee benefits administration.
 
Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
 
Assists with performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.
 
Prepares and files reports of accidents and injuries at establishment.
 
Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
 
Researches and develops resources that create timely and efficient workflow.
 
Office Administration:
 
Greets visitors and conducts to appropriate area or person.
 
Coordinates and arranges meetings, prepares agendas, reserves and prepares facilities, and records and transcribes minutes of meetings.
 
Orders and maintains supplies, and arranges for equipment maintenance.
 
Collects and distributes paperwork, such as records or timecards, from one department to another.
 
Maintains contact with customers and outside vendors.
 
Problem solves and creates solutions for any office related issues.
 
Organizes and controls the office calendar and bulletin board.
 
Assists with the planning and organizing of company events.
