At St. David's Center, our mission is to build relationships that nurture the development of every child and family. Each year, we serve more than 2,000 children, adults and families throughout the Twin Cities metro through: Early Childhood Education for children of all abilities; Early Intervention and Treatment Services for children with developmental disabilities; and Life-Phase Services for individuals with enduring special needs.

Job Summary:

St. David's Center is now hiring caring individuals to work as Personal Care Assistants (PCAs). PCAs provide in-home assistance and care to individuals with developmental and physical disabilities, chronic health problems, and/or mental health diagnoses. Types of assistance provided by a PCA will vary based on individual need, but may include: help with daily living and health-related tasks; behavior direction and intervention; and assistance in the participation of home- and community-based activities

This position offers:

Schedule: Build your own part-time schedule: afternoon, evening and weekend hours are available!

Pay Rate: Depending on qualifications, range of $9.25 - 12.25 per hour (most $10 per hour)

Job Qualifications:

All applicants must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Applicants must also pass the Department of Human Services background check & any additional background checks.

Education: No formal training/education is required. Preference may be given to individuals with training/education in social sciences, health care, human services, and/or education.

Experience: No experience with individuals with special needs is required; however, a desire to work with youth/young adults and a willingness to learn is essential.
