Job Purpose:


The Construction Manager provides management and direction of utility construction activities. Project work includes project management, resource allocation, equipment management, and utility construction. Duties performed are associated with human resources, payroll, accounting, and administrative functions. This position supports the Construction team and works with field personnel, senior operations management, and customers.

As a Construction Manager, you are responsible for overseeing all phases of utility construction on various types of telecom projects.

In addition, you will:


* A proven leader in the utility construction industry
* Support the company-wide safety culture
* Drive your team to meet deadlines and produce quality projects
* Provide a high level of customer service when interfacing with customers for escalated issues
* Gives direction to multiple crews and their job site activities
* Review progressed schedules against schedule deadlines


Qualifications

About You:


• Safety is a value you live by
• You have 5 years managing telecom construction projects
• You know the telecom construction industry
o Coax Splicing, Fiber Splicing, Directional Drilling, map reading, etc.
• You enjoy problem-solving and like to troubleshoot problems as they arise in the field
• You embrace the challenge of coaching and mentoring your team
• You have an understanding of basic accounting principals
• You have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn custom software

Physical Demands and Work Environment


This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, copiers, and scanners.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. This position is primarily sedentary, with some filing or lifting required. Must be able to bend and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
