Position Overview:
Phillips-Medisize, a Molex Company, is seeking a Strategic Marketing Manager to lead and execute strategic initiatives by spotting trends early, breaking them down in a data driven way, and soundly drive real change throughout the company, while working closely with executive leadership and various cross-functional teams.
In conjunction with the Director, the Strategic Marketing Manager will provide outside-in thought leadership on the future state of the industry and clearly gauge potential impact to our overall strategy and businesses.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the transformation of a high-growth organization, while leading quantitative and qualitative analysis of high-priority strategic issues. Example project types include: value chain assessment, business model analysis, new market entry strategy, competitive landscaping etc.
The ideal Strategic Marketing Manager will be a highly motivated individual capable of combining exceptional strategic thinking, superior communication skills, project management, quantitative skills, and excellent cross-functional interactions.
Essential Functions:
  • Run specific projects that provide insight to executive leadership and guide their decision making on key growth initiatives that include business model changes, capabilities development, vertical integration, M&A etc
  • Monitor, understand and prioritize external trends of relevance to the organization, and help determine how the business should prepare and/or respond
  • Exhibit flexibility to play whatever role the team needs to operate against demanding deadlines for senior executives
  • Lead individual modules within multiple high profile, cross-functional initiatives, including research and analytics, and distilling pragmatic recommendations for management consideration
  • Develop strong relationships and trust with executive leadership by delivering solid recommendations
  • Effectively manage several high-priority projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrate hypothesis-driven problem-solving with strong ability to create structured quantitative and qualitative analyses
  • Develop recommendations by leveraging market intelligence, internal data, customer feedback, and internal expertise
  • Evaluate alternative solutions and potential impact of decisions
  • Understand the resource implications of solutions and make recommendations in line with overall organizational strategy

Position Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in marketing, engineering or economics study
  • MBA / post graduate degree preferred
  • Minimum two (2) years' experience in Healthcare strategic consulting/corporate strategy development/investment banking
  • Minimum three (3) years' experience in working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Minimum two (2) years' experience in Marketing

Skills and Abilities:
  • Demonstrated abilities in developing strategy and driving impact
  • Proven project management capabilities
  • Comfortable working under strict deadlines and producing key senior executive deliverables
  • Experience in navigating across a broad range of attributes including business, strategy and various marketing initiatives such as branding, channels development and management etc.
  • Aptitude for confronting non-traditional business opportunities with creative problem solving
  • Some global experience with the ability to interact with international markets and associated team personnel
  • Deep understanding of healthcare markets, trends, and dynamics is an advantage
