Job Description
Kane Transport is currently recruiting for a Diesel Mechanic for our Inver Grove Heights Location. This position will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of tractor trailers. This is a full time benefited position and the hours are 2:30pm-12:00am with an occassional Saturday.

Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Diagnose, rebuild and repair trucks and equipment in both the shop and in the field
- Perform inspections and preventative maintenance of trucks and equipment
- Prepares and maintains records and reports
- Ability to be on-call one week a month and work weekends/holidays when needed
- Knowledge of methods, materials, tools, techniques used in Truck/Tractor repair and maintenance
- Diagnosing mechanical problems and performing repairs
- Knowledge of electrical systems including computerized induction/ignition systems
- All other duties as assigned.
Education and experience requirements Include but are not limited to:
- College Degree plus 1 or more years of truck/trailer maintenance experience or any combination of education, training and experience.
- CDL License preferred
- Hazmat license endorsement preferred
- Must be able to lift 60 plus pounds
- Must have own tools
- Ability to work extended hours in a variety of weather condiditions
- Follow written and verbal instructions
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing
